School Council
School Council
At Larchwood Public School, we believe that education is a shared responsibility between the home, the school and the community. Supportive parents, caring educators and active community members are partners in education working together for the benefit of children. We welcome and encourage the participation of our partners in education in our school and on our School Council.
School Council is an important part of Larchwood Public School. It provides a forum through which members can contribute to improving student achievement and school performance. Working in an advisory capacity, School Council provides input and makes recommendations to the Principal on a wide range of topics. Examples of areas that may require consultation with School Council include school budget, school enhancement plans, provincial test results, student code of conduct and parental involvement.
If you are a parent/guardian interested in joining our School Council for this school year, please submit a nomination form provided in the Rainbow District School Board Newsletter sent home in September. Additional forms are available at the office. New members are always welcome!
